Showers and Flowers!

This weekend I helped throw a bridal shower for one of my favorite cousins, Jeanette. It was a lot of fun and so good to see some of my family who I don't see very often.

The bride-to-be! Isn't she so cute?! Congrats Netti, I'm so excited for you!

I made mini cheesecakes....
We also had yummy lemon and lime squares, brownies and fruit.
We had a lemon/lime theme since those are her colors. It turned out very cute.
Addie had fun since she thinks all parties are for her ;)

Can you tell I'm related to these ladies? ;) My cousins, aunt and I
Today Addie and I played at the Treehouse (our new fave place) for an hour and then a field trip of big kids showed up so I decided we were done there for the day. She still had awhile before lunch and nap time, so we walked across the street and walked through the Ogden Temple grounds. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the temple grounds in springtime!! The flowers were so pretty and it was a perfect day to be out enjoying the sunshine!

Addie was SO happy when I let her get out of the stroller....this girl could run around outside allll day! I tried to get some pictures of her with the flowers....but they were all of the back of her head since she doesn't hold still. Here she is enjoying running around....luckily nobody was around to be bothered. Plus, let's face it, she's pretty cute ;)

I love SPRING....
I love the Temple....

and I LOVE my Addie!

Papa Days

Addie is one lucky girl! When her mommy goes into the office once a week to meet with her team and get some work done, she gets to play with Papa Steve.

Talk about a win-win situation. I get to get some work done (uninterrupted) while Addie gets to play with her papa. Her papa days usually include running some errands, such as to Home Depot-which she loves to run through. She always gets to go to lunch somewhere yummy and usually Grammy Dawn meets up with them to join in the fun. Then she gets to have a good nap at Papa's house. What more could a 15-month old girl want?? :)

We're so lucky to have such awesome family around who love Addie and are always willing to watch her and play with her. Thank you all!

EASTER WEEKEND...well Week!

We have had quite the busy week full of playing, which have included 2 trips to the Treehouse Museum, one lunch with Grandpa Randy, a trip to Burger Bar, an Easter egg hunt at Great Grandma Margaret's, an Easter party at Grandma Rees's, breakfast with Auntie Ash and finally an evening with friends tonight- WOW!!

Jed had today off, which was SO nice!! We haven't had a 3-day weekend in a long time! He took Addie and I to breakfast and to the Treehouse Museum to play. She loved having some daddy play time......so did I :)

I won't go into a lot of details about each event since this post would be a novel.....I'll simply share some photos of all the fun we've been having!

TrEeHoUsE with cousins and Lunch with Grandpa!

Burger Bar....

Daddy enjoying his Big Ben... a LOT

TrEaTs!
I love making yummy treats for Holidays....epecially when they're festive.

Egg Hunt at Great Grandma Margaret's house

Addie was completely content to just walk around outside with an egg in each hand- she loves them because she thinks that they're balls! (she's obsessed with balls) She finally figured out to say "Egg" instead of "Ball" by the end of the weekend.

EASTER DAY!!

Grandma and Grandpa Rees's House- all the kids had so much fun!

Breakfast with Aunt Ashley and Ian this morning- we went to Karen's Cafe on 25th street..... YUM!

Life in the Haven

We're adjusting nicely to our move.... now we're on the west side- heck yeah! I've decided to refer to West Haven simply as "the Haven" or "da Haven". Here are a few pictures of our new place- nothing too exciting-- but here they are .....
Living Room
You'll note that Jed's big TV fits perfectly in the new place AND it was already wired for 5.1 surround sound-- must have been meant to be ;)

Kitchen/Dining Room
I love the granite and having a gas range again. We scored and the fridge was included in the house- sweet!

Addison's Room
I haven't gotten her valance up yet on the window, but other than that it is pretty much done.

Master Bedroom

Our bedroom looks totally boring I know....I haven't really done any decorating in there (unless you include the 40 inch flat screen on the dresser as decor- Jed totally does)

So that's a little tour of the house sans the extra bedroom and garage. It's coming together and we are loving being so close to everything and our family and friends! We went to our new ward last week and it seems like there are actually a few little girls right in our neighborhood close to Addie's age so hopefully she'll have some little friends to play with :)

Now that we're closer to all of our buddies, we've been having some fun this week hanging out with some of them. Monday Addie and I went with our friend Jennie and her kids to go shopping for some decor for her new house. Gotta LOVE shopping for decor (well not as much with 3 kids age 3 and under hahaha) but it was still fun! I had to snap this shot on the way back-- ALL 3 kids out cold!! Now THAT is my idea of zen.... ahhhh...
Friday Addie and I went to lunch with my friend and her little guy- aren't they cute?! Just a month apart. Haha, I liked this picture because Addie's mouth is WIDE open and I'm sure she was talking or being loud (baffling I know) and Maddux is looking like "wow, girls are weird"

This weekend we've been enjoying conference and lounging around a lot with a sick little girl. Jed let me stay in bed a little longer this morning and he and Addie made me some blueberry muffins :) Awww I love them! They're my favorites and I'm sure that Addie was such a big help to her daddy ;)

Gotta love her crazy morning hair....
Below is her cuddling with her daddy tonight before bedtime... poor little sweetie, hopefully she feels better tomorrow!
Sorry for the waaaay long post this time!

FuNnY FaCeS

I took Addie to Janet's to take some pictures the other day...totally forgot that she doesn't sit still. So we didn't really get any great ones in her Easter dress, but I thought that she got a couple of cute face shots of her.
