WATER!

"Water! Water!" Yet another new word Addie can say. I'm pretty sure she's saying new words every single day now. Water has become a favorite one the past few days.....mostly due to the fact that this girl LOVES being in water. A few of her reasons for having an obsession with it?
Fashionable Swimwear
Sweet New Life Vest
(Okay, really this is for mommy cause Addie is waaay too fast to catch!)

This Place!!
"This place" is the South Ogden Nature Park behind the OAC and it seriously rules! They have playgrounds, lots of grass, pavilions for picnicing and this awesome splash pad. We took her here last year when she could barely sit on her own and she loved it. It is CRAZY to see what a difference a year makes! Here is Addie rediscovering it today.....

The look on her face in this one is priceless! This was once she got into it....took a few minutes for her to become okay with getting sprayed in the face with cold water.

Looking so proud to be all wet and playing like the big kids.

She also discovered one of my favorite summer past times.....sitting on a towell eating snacks in the sun. Ahhh....gotta love summer!

New Car!!

We bought a new car this week.... pretty sweet eh?
It's an '09 Little Tikes Limited Edition Cozy Coupe.

Addie LOVES this car!! She's been coveting one by the playground for awhile now.....and by coveting, I mean throwing a HUGE tantrum when I PRY her away from it after the kid is nice enough to share it. Soooo daddy broke down and bought this for her. He couldn't even get it put together before she was in it playing. I put her to bed and the next morning she came down and was so excited to play with it. She kept saying "Car! car!.....Daddy....car!"

Mother of a weekend!

We had such a fun weekend! Saturday I was able to play with Jed and Addie all afternoon. We went to the parkway and flew a kite (which she didn't care much about) and we played on the playground, which Addie LOVED! She's so funny now when we go to parks. She says "park, park!" .....then "slide? slide? weeee!" Oh I like her :)

This is Addie taking off with another kid's ball. Haha, she sees a ball and she wants it to be hers. Luckily the kids were nice and shared.

What could be better than a trip to the park and having the ice cream truck show up? I seriously haven't bought ice cream from a truck in 15 years or more. I literally ran over to it (not like it was going anywhere.) Jed and I were so excited and Addie was dancing and doing her hand jive to the music. It rocked.

My mother's day gift- a shadow box for the blessing dress that Addie and I were both blessed in. I've been wanting to do this since she was blessed. I'm so glad it can be on display now.

We had brunch at Grammy Dawn's house and it was soooo yummy! This picture is a third of the food. I made a fruit pizza for dessert and it was delicious. We had waffles, hash browns, eggs, sausage, croissants, fruit, shrimp, muffins, and more.....mmmmm I could eat brunch every week like this.

Addie and Eden

I had to throw this video into this post. This was Addie dancing to the ice cream truck. I love Jed's laugh too :)

My favorite thing was after this she was singing the "E-I-E-I-O" part, only not exactly right.

Mom

I have a lot of pictures from this weekend that I'll post later, but for now I just wanted to write about having a mom and being a mom.

Mom, I am so grateful that I was blessed with an amazing mother who has taught me, supported me, and loved me immensely my whole life. You continue to teach, support and show your love every day to me and I couldn't ask for a better mom. So I hope that you know how much you mean to me and how much I love you. Thanks for always being there as a mom and a best friend!

Addison, you are a blessed little girl. You have wonderful grandparents and family who all love you dearly. Their guidance and examples have helped me to be the best mom that I can be for you. I know that I am FAR from perfect. Being your mom has given more more joy than I ever thought was possible. I thank my Father in Heaven everyday for sending you to me and your daddy. Thank you for teaching me more than I've taught you and for loving me in return. I love you more than you'll ever imagine!! You are my little sweetie and always will be!

Ahhh..... spring, love and forever

Everytime I'm at the temple grounds I feel so peaceful..... like I could just sit there and breathe the clean spring air and enjoy the perfect temperature with my sweetheart forever..... That's the other feeling I always get at the temple. The reminder that my sweet little family who I love more than anything is mine FOREVER! It is a wonderful feeling.

We went down to the JSB at Temple square for my cousin Jeanette's wedding dinner (see gorgeous bride below) and we took a little stroll through the temple grounds. The spring flowers were breathtaking! I had to post some pictures, even though I just posted some from Ogden a couple of weeks ago.....Enjoy......

(I stole a kiss)

I've never seen tulips this color or this big- I was in LOVE! Enjoy them tomorrow....they're going away in the next few days I hear for summer flowers to be planted. .....This is a third of the pictures I took....I got a little camera happy :)

Jam fest in Daddy's car

This is one of Addie's favorite things to do now. Whenever we go into the garage, if Jed's car is in there, she demands to sit in it and play. His car is much cooler than mine ;)

Here she is jammin out to her theme song "Trouble Maker". Haha, she loves to dance to it!Enjoy!

Buddies, Cousins, and BUBBLES

(warning- picture overload)
Fun in the Sun-- we have loved the warm days lately. We've played outside everyday that it hasn't rained and Addie could seriously live outdoors. We've got to get this girl camping :) This is one of Addie's favorite games. She has me run with her and then swing her so that she kicks the ball. Her giggle is SO CUTE when we do this.

Chillin with dad on the grass. The only place that she seems to sit for more than 5 seconds. Look how cute they are.... resemblance? She is definitely her daddy's girl!

Last week we got to have Jaylee and Reagan come and sleep over while their mom and dad were on a trip. The girls were so darling and they entertained each other really well. I was nervous about having 3 kids instead of 1 for a day, but they were great.

Addie and Jaylee
Reagan, Addie and Jaylee (promise they didn't sit here in front of the TV the whole time)
Reagan and Addie shared a bath and neither one was quite sure how they felt about that. Check out Reagan's hair though- awesome!
Addie showed Reagan the ropes the next morning. "Here's where mommy keeps the place mats and dish towels...... this are SO fun to play with." Reagan agreed.
The wired before the tired.... well if you look at Regs, she's just plain tired. Haha, gotta love Jaylee in this picture. She was totally posing for us, picture after picture. She was playing slumber party :) She was excited to sleep on our big guest bed. She also informed me that Reagan needed to sleep in our room and not hers or she wouldn't be able to sleep..... of course I obliged to my guest's request!
Today- we got to play with my nephew Grady and niece Taylor. We had fun at the playground close to our house.

Yep that is my kid actually sitting in one spot long enough to take a picture- amazing!

So if you're ever wondering how to entertain kids under age 5....(or over 25 tee hee) two words--BUBBLE MACHINE!!! This thing rocks. We actually bought it a few years ago one time when Grady came to spend the night at our house. It's been sitting in our garage ever since. Well we busted that bad boy out today and they all LOVED IT!

Taylor in the bubbles

Grady was trying to Karate chop them and kick them.....boys will be boys. It cracked me up! Oh I love my nephews and nieces!
