Founders Day, Father's Day, Friends, Food....basically SUMMERTIME!

Wow, that is a lot of appropriate F words :)

It really is crazy that Summer is already here, even though it feels like the past month it took forever to get here. Summer time is SO BUSY! When I realized I had 164 photos on my camera after only 5 days I thought I'd better blog a couple of those days!

 Founders Day
 Papa Steve love the parade

Especially with all his grandkids!

Tristan and Addie...posing oh so sweetly.

Grammy Dawn and Dalton

The kids had so much fun in Grammy's kiddie pool.

Dalton and Emmett

Cute lil' buddies...they're 8 months apart, and maaybe like 8 ounces apart in weight :)

Another one of Jed's rockin' creations....
BBQ pulled pork and coleslaw over home made corn chips= best nachos ever.

Addie and Lucy running away from scary cousin Carson

Waiting for the fireworks to start. Cute friends :)
Notice no pictures during the fireworks....we were inside. Addie has decided this year that they hurt her ears, so we watched from Steve and Dawn's front window. Still a great view!

 Father's Day
Pretend this is a picture of Jed and his kids....I'm a lame wife and didn't take one.
Instead I took one of PB Cup Cheesecake Tarts.

Lacey and I swapping babies...cousins Skylee and Dalton

The Workman Clan.....except Jason & his family.

Just want to give a shout out to our awesome dads. I didn't take any pictures at my mom's house of the kids with Danny (I suck like that). He's an awesome stepdad and I love him dearly. My dad and Steve are great dads and grandpas to our kids. Our kids really are so lucky to have lots of people who love them around! Love you guys! Thanks for all you do!

Friends
Lori and her girls were in Utah for a few weeks and we got to hang out with them twice.
Love seeing them! Wish they lived closer....but visits are good too :)

We've been having a lot of play dates with friends the past couple of weeks- it's one of the perks of Summer! This week has been busy again with parks, splash pad, pool day, and boating later today. Looks like I'm going to have a lot of blogging to do this Summer.

Food

Strawberry Souffle- look how high they puffed up!

They were good and fresh tasting, and even fat-free....

SO I added some chocolate to the tops
They needed it though :)

This cake isn't just a cake, it was an inspiration! Also proof that if you combine two recipes and two chocolate-loving girls' minds, amazing things can happen.

Not even messing around....this cake is awesome.

Well that wraps up last weekend.... I hope you're all enjoying the sunshine as much as we are!

Dalton's Blessing Day

Jed blessed Dalton on Sunday. It was a great day!
Jed said that the whole time he was saying the blessing Dalton was looking at him and smiling :)
So sweet! This boy's smile seriously melts my heart. I just love him to pieces. Jed did a wonderful job.
My kids sure are blessed to have such a great dad.

We didn't get great pictures, but hey it's something.

Me and my dad

My pretty mom and Dalton
(Janet took this and the next picture)

 I love my kids

4 generations of Wellers- what handsome guys!

Me and my mom and brothers (sans Jason, we missed him. He's in CA)

Grammy Dawn

We had a lot of other family and friends come and support us. We really appreciate that and felt very loved. Dalton is one lucky boy indeed. I was so happy that the weather cooperated. It was a gorgeous day, which was good since we had brunch outside afterwards. We served up some yummy crepes and toppings along with some breakfast casseroles that were a big hit. The recipes for them can be found here and here for those who asked me for them. Thanks again to everyone for your help and for the love and support. We have wonderful families!

typical Monday afternoon

4:35pm.....what are we all doing at my house? Well, here's the breakdown:

ADDIE

 MOMMY

DALTON

That about sums it up....Addie in the corner on time out (don't let the photo fool you, there was a 10 minute meltdown prior to the staying quietly in the corner.) I'm drowning out the whining coming from the corner and the desire to lock my kid in her room the rest of the day with Diet Coke. Dalton is sweetly sleeping on the couch. He definitely gets a gold star for having the best attitude today of all three of us.
