Papa Steve's Austrian-themed Birthday party

Jed's dad's birthday was last Monday, so the day before the family all got together to celebrate his and Blake's birthdays. We surprised him with authentic German food, like he ate on his mission. Ian, our brother-in-law is half German so his family hooked him up with some recipes and appropriate tools to get the job done. Steve LOVED it. It was fun. Blake got all of the slides of the photos from his mission and converted them to files and I put the all into a photobook for him. He was very surprised and I think we made his 55th birthday a special one.

Papa got a great birthday present, a new grandbaby girl!
Sweet Sophia :)

Great grammy Lynette with Sophia

No idea what they were all doing, but they all seemed to be on the same page.

Watching the kids play outside in leiderhosen made me want to break out into songs from "The Sound of Music" it wasn't that warm, but they didn't mind!

Papa sure loves his grandbabies. He was pretty excited to see them all in  leiderhosen from Germany and Austria. The ones Addie and Dalton are wearing belong to Ian's mom. The real deal :)

Happy Birthday Papa! We love you so much and we're glad you enjoyed your day.

Ummm those outfits really are the icing on the cake! SO fun! However, I am surprised there weren't any pictures of the food ;)

Funny you should mention that Megan. The reason that they're aren't pictures of the food is because I wasn't the one taking pictures :)
