Addie's week

So what do you do with 300 misprinted wedding invites? You let Addie have a ball destroying them! This entertained her for quite sometime...long enough for me to help put the real ones together with Whit.

Chillin' in the bath tub....she loves to play with her duckies and splash in the tub. Here she had started in a sitting position and wiggled herself into this lounge position.

Auntie's shopping buddy- that's what her shirt says :) She is too! Haha, we've been doing lots of shopping lately for Whitney's wedding and Addie is always such a trooper to let us cart her around all over the place.

My Quirks- Tag

The Rules:-Link the Person who Tagged you-Mention rules on your blog-Tell about 6 quirks of yours-Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same.

I don't usually do these, but I guess I will today :) Cassi tagged me on this one. I tag any of you that read this :) More than 6 come to mind....

1- I sing loud in the car by myself...seriously. Poor Addie must listen to it now, but she mostly sleeps through it. We'll see how that goes once she can talk. Maybe she'll join in.

2- I LOVE LOVE LOVE lipgloss! I have a serious problem with buying multiple kinds of it. I have had to force myself not to buy it in awhile because I realize that I have 20 or more already....I am aware that it is not normal and that it is a problem. That's the first step right?

3- I am a planner! Whether it is a party, an event or just what I'm doing for the day I like having a plan. I have a serious pet peeve of a room full of people sitting around all saying that they don't care what we do. Somebody make a decision! LOL! When on trips with people I like to have things planned out for this very reason. I don't have to have an actual itinerary, just a general idea of what will be done each day. I also love hosting parties, dinners, or showers even though it is a lot of work. Maybe that's why Addie is the party girl that she is :)

4- I have to have my Blackberry literally within arms reach or I feel naked. I know it sounds pathetic, but it is true. Jed refers to it as my "crackberry" because I have a dependence on it. I must know if someone is calling, texting, emailing or IM'ing me. I claim it is for work, but let's be honest, I have to be connected to my peeps ;) Unless I'm sleeping or actually working I will always answer you in a very timely manner.

5- I have the ability to make almost any treat or dessert that you can think of. If chocolate is involved, even better. Whenever I find a new treat I like, I must have the recipe so I can duplicate it. I even go as far as improving upon them sometimes. I am known as the treat lady in the family. Brownies, eclair cake, rice krispy treats, cheesecake, cookies, s'mores bars, ect... I don't however cook very much real food. I leave that to Jed. He likes it and is good at it, why deprive him?

6- I like looking at houses. I know that sounds dumb, but given the fact that I have to see SO MANY all the time you'd think I would hate it. Somehow I still always want to see the inside of houses, maybe I'm just nosey. The only time I don't like it is when I'm showing lots of old stinky ones that don't interest me much LOL, that sound snotty huh? I also get sick of it when I'm showing the same people houses over and over and they won't pick one! (50 is the current record) I have to force myself to pretend I care at that point. Haha, evil huh? I love the parade of homes and seeing cool features in houses. It makes me want to build a dreamhouse- but I suppose that can wait....

Dustin and Terra's Wedding

Here comes the happy couple out of the Temple....Terra looked sooo gorgeous! Good job, Dust.

The girls- minus Whitney, who was sent on a last minute errand.
Our little family all dressed up for the reception...isn't Jed so cute in his tux?!

Okay, seriously one of my favorite pictures of Addie ever! Can you say baby contest? ;)
Addie dancing with uncle Dustin....isn't he a handsome groom?

Ashley caught the bouquet...her second one!! She also caught Kacey's at her and Blake's wedding. Steve said he's got to keep ahold of her a little longer though since Whit's getting married!

Fun times...

Here are a bunch of random pictures from the past week or so. Enjoy :)

We went to a concert last night at the Layton Ampitheater where Jed's friend Tibly was playing Bass in his band "Ryan Shupe and the Rubberbands". Addie went out cold with her daddy holding her- too sweet! She doesn't usually fall asleep with us holding her anymore, so he was happy to get some of the "good stuff" :)

This is Addie with Grammy Dawn and Great Aunt Tami and Terra's bridal shower last Saturday....Tami needed an appearance on the blog ;)

Addie and I woke up on Friday morning and I kept hearing the weirdest noise....we looked out the window and saw this huge hot air balloon right behind our backyard! She thought it was hilarious of course....don't you love her morning hair again? It was cool to see balloons all over the valley.

Lunch with the ladies....and boy. We went to lunch with my sister-in-laws Melissa and Tammy last week and got to see sweet baby Beckam. Isn't he a doll?! He woke up and I got to hold him....which Addie was okay with for about 5 minutes and then decided she needed mommy back.

And finally....Addie in her onsie that Aunt Ashley had to get her in Jackson. I think it's hilarious because I make a lot of "dam" jokes whenever we're driving around Pine View....I'm sure that it never gets old ;) Thanks Ashley- we miss you!

The Giggles

Grandma Rees making Addie giggle...she was so sleepy. She always gets loopy and giggly and then crashes. I don't know where she gets that from ;)

Farr better than sweet peas

So Addie woke up today and her first tooth has popped through! Yay! It has been bothering her off and on and last night she was pretty upset so I was hoping it would finally break through.

Since the day Addie was born, her Papa Steve has been wanting to take her to Farr's Ice Cream. I have repeatedly told him that she's too little to have any sweets, especially ice cream, much to his dismay. Well today I FINALLY caved in! We needed to celebrate her new tooth!

We got her a little cone of peach sorbet since it isn't dairy. She only had a few spoonfuls, but far more sugar than she's ever had. Haha, she was a little hyper afterward.

On a side note for other paranoid mothers.... You always hear "once you give them sugar, they won't eat their vegetables." Well I'm happy to report that right after we got home I fed Addie some sweet peas, and she still loved them! I'm not saying she's going to be having sweets on a regular basis, but I know that the grandparents will always be giving her "tastes" of things =) Isn't that what they're there for?!

"Toys" Addie thinks are toys

So our little daughter has decided that there are SO many fun toys to play with. Unfortunately, none of them are actual toys. Case in point....

The Remote ControlIt is sooo much more fun than other toys. You can line up 5 real toys and the remote and without fail, she'll choose the remote. (note the actual toy in the corner of the photo) Don't you love her wild morning hair too? Haha, that comes from taking out pigtails then sleeping 10 hours.

Jelly Shoes
Why on Earth would you want to chew on a teething ring when there are perfectly good jellies to chew on. Seriously, these are her favorite things to chew on. Needless to say they spend little time on her feet.

Mommy's Phone

Doesn't she look so innocent here? That's until you notice the blackberry in her left hand...kind of hard to see sorry. And yes, that is her butterfly (actual toy) next to her being ignored.

She also LOVES all bottles...like bottled water, Coke bottles or anything of the like. She thinks it is hilarious to watch people drink out of them and also out of glasses. She will dive toward any of these items. Everyone thinks she wants what is in them, but she just wants to eat the actual bottle. Silly girl.

7 Months Old!

Hooray I'm seven months old! I just learned to clap my hands and I love to play in my jumper and go wild. I also have decided that I like most of my new baby food and my mommy cheated and let me try her zeppe yesterday and I LOVED it! I'm starting to get a tooth, but it hasn't come through yet.

Addie got these pictures taken by her great aunt Janet today.....so cute! Janet started her own photography business "Shadows of Time" and she does such a great job. Anyone wanting fun family, wedding, or baby pictures should call her. She has great pricing and will come to you if you want :)

This picture is just too sweet....it reminds me of getting her first pictures done at 7 weeks- time has flown by!One of my favorite outfits ever! She's pretty cute too :)

Pretty girl in a big poofy girly dress! This is for her uncle Dustin's wedding in 2 weeks....but who can wait that long? Not me!

Jackson Hole

Happy Birthday Whitney and Ashley! Jed's sisters turned 19 on Sunday, so we all played in Jackson Hole this weekend to celebrate. Here are the birthday girls with Addie after a yummy breakfast at the Bunnery.

Our little family at Jenny Lake- look at those pretty mountains!
Jed, me, Addie, Kacey and Blake hanging out at Jenny Lake. It was a fun little adventure up to the Tetons....we all agreed it was better than looking at overpriced tourist shops in town.
I don't usually like a lot of pictures without people in them, but this was too gorgeous!

Happy Anniversary to us!

Thursday was our 6 year anniversary! I can't believe that much time has gone by. It has been a pretty blissful road too. I can honestly say that I've never for one minute had any regrets for marrying my best friend 6 years ago. I look back and we were so young! I was going to put a picture from our wedding up but I still haven't scanned them (yes, it was long enough ago our pictures weren't digital)

I'm so grateful that I get to be married to Jed. He is such a great person. He is so caring and willing to help others. He always listens to me ramble (which is often) and can always repeat it back when I think he isn't listening.
Just when I thought that I couldn't possible love this man any more, we had Addison. He has been such a sweet and cute dad with her that it makes my heart melt everyday. I have loved watching him with her and seeing how happy she is to see him when he comes home. I love you the most friend! Thanks for loving me back all these years!

Here we are 6 years later....this was this weekend at Jenny Lake
