February

February flew by quicker than January did, I swear. I started the month off by hosting craft club. I showed my girls how to make this fun heart wreath, well two of them :) I couldn't make up my mind so I made two.

(YES, my peep hole isn't centered on my door. don't worry, it totally never bugs me ever)

I'm going to switch the hearts out for shamrocks for St. Patrick's day. I'm that awesome.

London was blessed at my mom's ward. Somehow this was the only picture that I got. Oh well. She's so sweet and pretty. I love her to pieces. Jed did the honor of blessing her, and did a fabulous job.

Addie singing primary songs to Dalton with the iPad...yep, there's an app for that.

Valentine's Day {Week!}
We made a Valentine box for preschool and then Addie had to sign all 24 Valentines for her friends. It's a lot of work for a four year old to write a 7 letter name that many times. I was so proud of her!

The night before Valentine's day, we made some fun and easy treats and took them to some neighbor friends. I thought they turned out pretty cute, and took half the time as sugar cookies. Win.

 Valentine's Day breakfast

Dalton always smiles for my phone. Good boy!

I helped out with Addie's preschool castle of chaos party

Addie and Lucy with there very heavy candy-filled boxes

We had a delicious Valentine dinner that night with our friends Laura and Jordan and their kiddos Lucy and Alice. It was a fun family style Valentine's meal. This holiday changes drastically with children, but I love it.

 Some other random stuff....

Addie and I went to a children's store in North Ogden to see "Belle"
I giggled to myself that she's half Asian, but Addie didn't notice. She did, however, notice her shoes weren't correct. Shame Belle, shame.

It's such a cute store. I could buy everything in it!

 President's Day {AKA, bank holiday baby!}
Jed was off and we were sick of sitting around the house so we took the kids to breakfast and then to the Clearfield Aquatic Center for some swimming. They had a lot of fun. Addie has always been a fish, and she would swim every single day if it was feasible.

We ended the month with an awesome preschool field trip at Get Air!
Why didn't indoor trampoline parks exist when we were kids??
This place was huge, awesome, and wore the kids right out.

The girls taking a little break.

Oh, and I had no idea Addie knew the Pledge til a couple of weeks ago.
Pretty cute though I think.

Other January happenings...

Okay, so I knew I was behind...I just underestimated HOW behind I was. These are the last photos that were taken with my camera, which sadly has suffered from a tragic accident and has passed on....I'm pretty sad that I currently only have my phone as a camera, even though I use it just as much.

Here's what we did the rest of January after Addie's birthday :)

Boondocks with Tristan

We went to Boondocks one day after preschool with cousin Tristan (excuse Addie's post-preschool disheveled appearance) They had a blast!

Haha, Addie called this a "gas thing" my naive little girl has no idea what a gun is ;)

Rollerball is always fun! (except when you're 2 and you don't get that it's not always your turn)

Addie thinks it's awesome.

They could have stayed in the kiddie cave all day!

Belated Birthday lunch and presents with Granpda Randy
Addie was so excited. She got to pick where we went, so shockingly she picked chick-fil-a. We also went to Farr's Fresh and got some yummy ice cream. Fun afternoon with Grandpa!

She was thrilled about getting a pretty dress she could twirl in. She demanded to try it on right after this.
She's SUCH a girl.

Pink sparkle shoes to match! Made her day. Seriously.

 Bryan's Drug Court Graduation
D-Money and Papa Dub

Tammie, Dalton, Chad and London

Bryan and one of the judges who helped him a lot.
We got a bunch of other photos taken with us all together, but my aunt Janet took them, so I don't have them. It was a GREAT achievement for Bryan. For those who don't know his history, you can read about it here on my blog from 3 years ago. I'm amazed how far he's come in the past 3 years. I'm so very proud of him that's he's clean and sober and doing his very best to be a great father for London.
 I love you Bryan!!

Terra's Baby shower
I didn't take a lot of pictures, but I did snap a few.
Here's Addie and Edie together in their Grandma Margaret skirts.

They love to play together :)

We had brunch (which ROCKED) Dalton looked past the bits of waffle I broke up for him and went straight for the big one and went to town. That one little tooth is getting over worked ;)

The cute candy station.
Don't you love the buntings Dawn made? Super cute.

I made this diaper cake for Dawn to give to Terra. Not to shabby for my first one, eh?
I thought the colors were super cute.

Addie taking pictures of us....which reminds me why I no longer have a camera.

The next day, we went back up to Grammy and Papa's for the superbowl, which consisted of one thing: FOOD. Jed made his famous pico, guac, and queso trio and Blake made some hot wings. We ended the evening with pizookies. I've been dieting, so that was a LOT of food lol.
Jed with Dalton and Emmett. Cute boys.

Dalton and Willey (the dog) have two common loves. Pizza crust and empty 2-ltr bottles

I'll end this post with a picture of Addie and Dalton playing under the kitchen table. I love that they already play together. He ADORES Addie and frequently crawls around just saying her name over and over.
(If you look close, you can see that tiny tooth on the bottom)

good gracious....I'm behind

I can't believe that it's been nearly 6 weeks since I've blogged. What's my excuse? I don't have a good one. It's not like we've been playing outside in the snow or sunshine! We've had neither of those! I'm so done with winter. For real. Like, if I was Christian Bale I'd be throwing explicit language around and telling winter that we're done professionally.

Remember how I said I was going to do a post updating y'all about Dalton? Yep, over a month ago? I even took all these pictures off of my phone a month ago to use in this post. I'm lame. Oh well, I'm going to post them anyway, because um he's cute and deserves his own blog post. I'll have to come back and do a good ole February post next (ha, hopefully not 6 weeks from now)

Dalton loves to escape from diapering and/or while I attempt to clothe him (how dare I, really?!)
He enjoys some nude playing.

I love when these two are sweet and soft together. This was one of the 3 times in the past couple months he was sick. Just cuddling Addie watching Word World. I like them :) He says "Addie" and it's so cute!

Doesn't he look happy?...
Poor baby. This was the day after Addie's birthday. I took him in because he was acting miserable but that was his only symptom. No fever or anything. An hour before, I noticed his eye looked pink so I panicked. Sure enough, pink eye...AND and ear infection! I felt awful for him. He was so miserable. What a trooper he'd been all weekend too. He still thought the crinkle paper on the Dr's table was fun though.

Not much keeps him down for long. He went from crawling to pulling himself up to getting into things in a blink of an eye! This is his favorite drawer.

My sick buddy after waking up from some snuggles with mom.

Oh, and he outgrew his infant seat. At least, what's considered "safe" for it. So, we upgraded him.
I wasn't about to put my son in this seat though, without a little makeover....

 Ta-da!! Thanks, Rit dye.
Much more manly. ;)

My mom went to see my grandpa in Sacramento, CA and we did some facetime on the iPad so he could see Dalton. My grandpa's middle name is Dalton, after his mother's Maiden name.
I'm sure at age 90 this technology is baffling.

maybe this is why I haven't blogged. Dalton has had 3 bad sicknesses in the past 2 months. Round 2 was rough. Thank heavens for antibiotics. Hey, southern friends...did I mention next winter I'm coming to live with you??

What mom??
He's entering the destructive stage...but he's so cute. Good thing!

He FINALLY got his first tooth a few weeks ago.
We went with papa Steve and Grammy Dawn to get him his first ice cream cone :)
This is what he thought of peach sorbet....come on mom, give me brownies on the moon or something!

He did, however, love gumming his way through the cone.
Since getting his first tooth, he's fully embraced big people food and LOVES meat. I have no idea how he chews it with just that one tiny tooth lol.

He also had his first hair cut. Which is funny, because it's already almost back to being as long as it was 6 weeks ago. The front was always in his eyes and the sides were kinda shaggy so I just wanted a little trim.
 Before

(nobody gives me snacks during my hair cuts, just sayin)

After! I love my handsome boy!

So much has happened since all of these pictures were taken. I have a whole bunch from February, including Valentine's Day and a fun field trip. Oh, and I should mention that last week Dalton got STREP. Yep, no lie. I wish I could ban Addie from preschool or something. Knock on wood for a healthy rest of the winter. Next month, this chubby sweet boy turns ONE!!!
