I love my family...and Fall!
Okay, so you can't really see the fall leaves that much, but we took pictures in them yesterday. Here are a few...probably more to follow :) And yes, I did CHOP my hair, that isn't just the camera angle! 10 plus inches to be precise! 10 going to locks of love and a little more in trimming up and layering. Thanks for not grounding me mom- even though I didn't get permission ;)
Me and my two friends.... you can see she gets her good looks from her daddy :)

Welcome Baby Deacon
Deacon Daniel Rees has finally arrived! He was born on Monday September 22, 2008. He weighs 8 lbs 12 oz- Those Rees's make big boys! He's a little sweetie and we're so excited that Addie has another cousin! We couldn't be happier for Terry and Melissa- good job guys! He's a keeper!
The happy family- Melissa, Terry and baby Deacon
Here's the new little one sleeping all snuggly in his mommy's arms.
Addie got to meet her new cousin...she had to keep her distance since she's been sick. She really wanted to GRAB him though, along with most things in her sight right now!

Addie exploring
Here is Addie doing her latest tricks...rolling around to get EVERYWHERE.....she loves the hard floors because she can slide. She can push herself back and slide, but hasn't figured out the forward part yet. She also can turn herself all the way around...just still not crawling. I'm fine with this much mobility so far :)

What Addie's been up to.....and INTO
Oh the fun times that surround a baby learning to become more and more mobile! She really is funny how she'll roll herself right into the areas and corners I try and make her avoid. Silly girl....
Friday night Addie got to have her friend Reagan sleep over :) Lori was running the TOU Marathon in Logan on Saturday and needed someone to watch Reagan, so we got to play with her for a day. These two were so cute together! At one point, I thought, see? I could totally handle twins....hmmm....couple hours later I thought "How do you do this Heather?" Seriously though, Reagan was an ANGEL- she slept 11 hours that night!!! Although....this was how Addie spent the night.....
SICK!! Okay, so I know she looks happy because she really is such a happy baby. It's hard to see, but she's got a runny nose, and red flushed cheeks...not to mention hair a mess. Poor little thing was up all night (therefore mommy too) with a horrible runny nose. She couldn't breathe if I layed her down, so I had to hold her upright in a chair all night so she could sleep :( She's doing a little better today, so hopefully a few more days and she'll be okay. I gave it to her, so I feel bad. I'm past the worst of it, and I think she is too. Now, it's daddy turn....sorry honey!

Just like my auntie
I had to post this picture of Addie and aunt Ashley- so cute! Ash had just made herself a headband from some extra material she had and decided to make one for Addie to match...

8 Months Old
Addie is 8 months old today! Such a big girl! I can't believe how fast the months go by, I know she'll be a year old before we know it....sigh.
She's rolling all over the place now! She always hated rolling to her tummy, but now she's figured out she can keep going to get places and my house/life haven't been the same since. She's working on the crawling. She's quite motivated, just has to figure it out a little better. Within the month I know she'll be all over the place! Baby proofing to come very soon!!
- She weighs 17 lbs and is 27 inches long
- She loves to eat her cereal with fruit in the morning and her veggies at night
- She has now decided that anything that we put in our mouths she wants, even though she can't have most of it
- She's saying more and more sounds...instead of just "ooh and ahh", she has added "ga, goo, dada, bleh, baa".....haha more to follow I'm sure! This girl wants to talk!
- She still LOVES bathtime! She seriously soaked my floor this morning splashing. I couldn't grab a camera quick enough....
- She loves naps with mommy or daddy and will roll and grab our faces when she wakes up....too sweet

Glass half full :)
So I'm not going to lie, it has been a very rough week. Too many issues and stories to go through, but it isn't worth dwelling on. So today, I'm taking a glass half full approach! I looked through pictures that I took this week and realized that we actually have had a lot of good things take place and have a lot to be happy about....so here are the high points in our week:
Some serious bragging rights here! Ash and I made these darling strawberries and mini cheesecakes for Whitney's shower on Monday. Aren't they too cute?! Little brides and grooms...so appropriate for a bridal shower. We had a pink theme, and even the cheesecakes matched. I know, I have problems ;)
All dressed up with somewhere to go- Jed and I had a black tie gala that we attended on Thursday. It was fun to get to get dressed up.....took me back to high school days haha.

The Zoo
I took Addie to the zoo on Saturday with my sister-in-law Emily and her kids, Grady and Taylor. It was lots of fun! Addie was so good and just loved being outside with all the people. She even liked a few of the animals. Let's face it though, at this point, people are still more interesting to her. Her grandpa Randy joined in the fun too!
Here are our little monkeys :) Taylor, Grady and Addie
Addie and her grandpa checking out the Zebras...and randomly chickens were in there ??
